Interview with 3.M. Watson

Interview with 3.M. Watson

What is your real name & stage name? E.M. Watson but I'm known as 3.M. Watson Where are you from? I was born in Slidell, Louisiana but grew up primarily in Atlanta, Georgia What do you do? I am a singer and rapper but I produce and write for other artists as well. How long have you been in your industry? I’ve been in the music industry in a myriad of forms for over 5 years but joined the HipHop and Pop community this year. I released my EP “No Lanes” on January 1st and haven’t looked back since. What is your biggest accomplishment? I would say that besides having worked with some very big acts, I’ve been able to work in the music industry full time for over 5 years. That is a very big feat and very hard to do but I'm doing it with grace. How has COVID affected you on your journey?

Covid made me realize that time is a factor. It is either now or never when it comes down to pursuing your dreams and vision. I had worked on many different projects and genres in the past but felt that I was limiting myself. Covid gave me the courage to finally risk it all and tackle the HipHop and Pop community head on.

What's your next move? I just finished 33 music singles that I have labeled “The Flood”. I am releasing the rest of those tracks on September 30th and then will be focusing primarily on music videos for those songs. I also started a small label called “Three Line Records” and I will be working to grow that as well. Are you working on any projects? At the moment I am looking at some options. I’ve had new producers and artists reach out to me with ideas and concepts so I will filtering through those to see which sounds work best with my brand. Where do you see yourself in 1 year ?

Doing a lot of shows, adding talented artists to my label roster and expanding my reach as an artist.

Is there anything else you want people to know about you?

I am as real as it gets. My music is a diary and when you listen to my bops you are getting a glimpse into my reality. And when you’re authentic and honest you can’t lose.
