What is your real name? My name is Alahi. Where are you from? I am from Astoria, Queens born to immigrant parents from Bangladesh. What do you do? I am in sales and marketing . How long have you been in your industry? I’ve been in sales for 6 years. What is your biggest accomplishment? My biggest accomplishment hasn’t been achieved yet. For now, I’ll say it’s getting out of a dark place; If you’ve gone through a struggle and overcome that and are in a better place. I’d say that’s a pretty big accomplishment. How has COVID affected you on your journey? It affected my business drastically. Before Covid my Team know we’re bringing in 50% of the company’s revenue. It was a face to face business. Once I realized Covid wasn’t going anywhere I had to go back to the drawing board. Now we take different marketing approaches to adjust to the times and the challenges are actually opportunities in disguise. What's your next move? My next move is pursuing continual growth and expansion. That’s largely based on how much I reinvest which is very aggressive at the moment. But I’m very patient like Warren Buffet says, “No matter how great the talent or efforts, some things just take time. You can't produce a baby in one month by getting nine women pregnant.” Are you working on any projects? I’m working on a few projects right now. One of them is making clean energy more accessible. One of the options is solar. Recently , my marketing company partnered with a geothermal company that was originally apart of Google labs. Bill Gates and comcast are investors in the company.
