What is your real name & stage name?
Alan Walker is both my real name and stage name
Where are you from?
I was born in New Haven, CT and raised in different areas of CT as well.
What do you do? I am a full time recording artist, I’ve been doing this for 2 years now going on 3. This is my passion, my life, my pride and joy. Making music is like therapy for me so it’s only right I do this on a full time basis.
How long have you been in your industry?
I’ve been in the music industry for about 2 years going on 3.
What is your biggest accomplishment? my biggest accomplishment since I’ve been doing the music has been gaining 100K on my recent project called “Broken Mind”. It’s a 16 song tape, detailing the struggles I’ve gone through in my life but as well talking about the inner struggles in the black community.
How has COVID affected you on your journey? covid 19 has definitely affected the journey but never let it stopped the grind I was on with my music. Covid 19 can be in the way but it won’t let me stay scared for the rest of my life. Since it’s been going on I’ve still continued to pursue my dreams at a 100% effort. Nothing will stop me from reaching my goals.
What's your next move ?
I just dropped a dedication project called “DRW” which were my grandmas initials. She passed last March and so it was only right that I dropped a 9 track project dedicated to her, talking about the good times we had, what she meant to me, and how she inspired my musical talents. I will be promoting this project all over the world, I just had the project on a Billboard in Times Square, NY. I plan too have a couple Videos dropping very soon too a couple songs off the Album which will be very dope so stay tuned for that. I plan on hopping on some radio stations to talk about what inspired me too do music and etc. a lot of moves are coming and I won’t stop!
Are you working on any projects ? Since I just dropped a project, I will be releasing a couple of singles before my next project. These singles can potentially be on my next tape so you guys will have too wait and see. My next tape is going to break barriers all across the world. Mark My Words!
Where do you see yourself in 1 year ? I see myself with a bigger platform than I have now, being able to connect too more fans across the world. I see myself being one of the top artist in the world and also being able too provide for my family with this musical journey.
Is there anything else you want people to know about you? My music for me is like therapy sessions, my type of music is very vulnerable and emotional. I like too tap into peoples hearts and make them feel what I’m feeling as if it were them going through my struggles. My music is meant to relate to the people going through things on a daily basis because they are not alone. Letting out my feelings into my music had been a god gift and I will continue to use my gift too enlighten people all across the globe. I have a story too tell and I will tell it, in the most rawest, uncut, realest way possible.
