Interview with Chloe Chelle

What is your real name & stage name?

Hi my name is Chloe Michelle Weyant, however, I go by Chloe Chelle or #glowxchlo.

Where are you from?

I grew up in Houston, Texas but I was born in North Carolina. Raise up!! I lived in Texas most of my life and New York City for five years.

What do you do?

When I am not managing salons & spas; you will find me running my own mobile, organic airbrush tanning and makeup business, GlowXChlo that I started back in 2010. Additionally, I work on set as a production assistant for independent films, major TV networks such at the CW, and for independent photographers. I love working behind the scenes, but I also have experience acting and dancing. I grew up playing the piano which inspired my passion for music and dance. My focus now that my beauty business is established, is freelance modeling & dancing.

How long have you been in your industry?

I started dancing as a kid at Amy Blake’s Academy of Dance in Houston, TX. Here I was trained in Jazz, Lyrical, and Hip-hop. As I moved into my teen years I tried out for a competitive dance team called the Clear Lake Rockettes, in Houston, TX. We mostly competed in Hip-Hop, Jazz, Pom, Lyrical, Prop/Burlesque & occasionally Tap. During college I tried out for the St. Edward’s University Dance Team, performing mostly Hip-hop & Jazz at basketball games. From 2006 - present day, I began Gogo Dancing & performing Burlesque/Jazz as an independent artist for parties and music festivals.

What is your biggest accomplishment?

My biggest accomplishments in dance include performing at the Houston Rockets half- time show in Houston,TX. Following that I made Captain for my dance team at St. Edward’s University in Austin,TX. Lastly, my favorite highlight was performing for Diplo and other artists at the Lights All Nights Music Festival in Dallas, Texas.

How has COVID affected you on your journey?

While it’s easy to complain and see the negativity in the pandemic. This time back in Texas allowed me to regroup and remember what my true passion and desires are. I began going up to the dance studio more and renting private rooms to practice my skills. I also made a fan-based page where I post recorded videos of my dance/studio time. This time also allowed me to network with Hip-Hop Artists on ClubHouse almost by the Law of Attraction. While this time has been frustrating financially, I have been inspired to further develop my talents into another stream of income. While missing my friends in New York City, I am looking forward to getting back out there and linking up with new connections I have made in the music industry. Finally, I have always been spiritual and was trying to study tarot reading while I lived in NYC, but I just couldn’t find the time to commit myself to it. Throughout the pandemic I started a YouTube channel (Chloe Chelle- GlowXChlo) where I post free tarot

What's your next move ?

I will continue to cultivate my beauty, tarot & marketing businesses. However, I am most looking forward to dancing in music videos and performing at shows with Artists. This is an opportunity I continually pushed aside over the years for my 9-5, but I have learned how to balance both a day job and my passions! I also enjoy marketing and helping people develop their online presence to truly represent their assets and skillsets.

Are you working on any projects ?

I have been focused on modeling and growing my exclusive page, building my tarot pages & practicing dance. I have a few Artists I am going to connect with in the near future!

Where do you see yourself in 1 year ?

I see myself doing more collaborations with Hip-Hop Artists. I also see myself modeling more regularly as a paid gig on the weekends. Ideally, I would be a full-time entrepreneur. We will see how 2022 plays out! I also see myself moving back to NYC pretty soon so I am looking forward to that!

This will take you to my social links (YouTube, TikTok, & my exclusive page.)
