What is your real name & stage name?
Rafael Hernandez is my birth name Goyah is my stage name.
Where are you from?
I was originally born in the Bronx, NY. I lived in Puerto Rico for some time too
What do you do?
I’m a doorman/concierge in Hell’s Kitchen, building is called The Hit Factory, used to be music studios that got converted into condominiums.
How long have you been in your industry?
I picked up guitar first at a young age, taught myself how to play then eventually down the line I wanted to produce and engineer so I’d say about 18 years more or less.
What is your biggest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment is my daughter Anailah Faith Hernandez, my biggest accomplishment is having about 2 million streams in my music on Spotify, something about total strangers reaching out and appreciating your art is golden to me.
How has COVID affected you on your journey?
Besides getting into a bike accident messing up my clavicle, nothing really. In fact I was able to put way more time on my craft.
Are you working on any projects?
I’m working on a EP that is going to be released soon on all digital platforms.
Where do you see yourself in 1 year?
Still following my passion and putting out music.
