Interview with @issa_lifestyle73

What city are you from/ Where are you based now?

I am from Massachusetts, born in Hyannis, MA. I now live about 40 minutes from Boston. I am a digital entrepreneur, so my businesses operate remotely.

What is your real name? What is your Stage Name? How did you get your artist name?

My name is Dezerai Cain-Williams. I go by Dezerai Monét, it is part of my middle name.

At what point in your life did you decide to pursue a career in your field?

About 2 years ago I decided that I was tired of dead end jobs with no opportunity for growth. So I went to school for dental assisting, thinking I could make a fulfilling career out of that. I’ve always wanted to help people, but the things I knew of at the time, took too long to see success in, other than that. After getting into the dental field, I realized it was the entire mindset and employee lifestyle that I was tired of. COVID hit, and I realized I needed more than just a job or traditional career to count on, and I needed to dive into something that I actually loved. I dove into entrepreneurship about a year ago, and I haven’t looked back, or felt more fulfilled since.

My upbringing plays a huge part in who I am today as a woman, mother, mentor, leader, and entrepreneur. No, however, I do not let it define me. I had a traumatic upbringing to say the least. Throughout both my childhood and teenage years, I faced many situations that lead me down a destructive path. However, I am grateful to God, to have found peace and forgiveness in my heart, and have been able to turn that pain into power, as well as purpose, and profits.

How would you describe yourself to readers who may not be familiar with you?

I’M HERE TO HEAL! Both myself, and those connected to me. My main approach is always to lead with love, God in the center, and a sound mind. Education and impact are my main goal, as is with all of the people that I work along side of. I want people to know that I am the evidence of broken generational curses, and you have the power to change the trajectory of your family’s legacy as well. I’m here to help you do that.

What ultimately inspired you to dedicate yourself to your career? I became an entrepreneur so that I could gain time and financial freedom, as well as begin to build generational wealth and lasting legacy for my family. Multiple sources of income is a necessity, and no longer a luxury. I realized that the only way I was going to break the chains of poverty, oppression, and addiction in my family was by educating myself and creating new paths, and profitable paths, for my people. What’s one reason you are passionate about your focus and what inspires you? I am passionate about what I do because the need for proper representation, education, and opportunities in the Black, Native American, and even the mixed race communities is undoubtedly needed. Each business that I am building and pushing out this year, is for the impact and growth of not only myself, but again, everyone that I am connected to. My intention is to reach people internationally, and help them advocate change and healing in their communities as well.

Do you have any hobbies outside of your career? What do you do to stay creative?

Lately I have been in grind mode to be honest. I’ve learned to put the things I love into my businesses so I enjoy what I do. I love to travel, eat good food, be by the water, practice self care, and experience new things with my son. My goal this year is to have a lot more experiences with my son. Who are some of your main musical influences?

Lord, I have so many. Some of my main musical influences are India Arie, Erykah Badu, Kirk Franklin, Tasha Cobbs, Rod Wave, Mozzy, Morray, Joyner Lucas, and my family @ZARIATHEARTISTT, @DRE, @DRASTIKMUSIC. What are some of your career goals for the future?

My goals are all geared towards building my organizations and providing opportunities for people internationally. Digital entrepreneurship has taken over the business world and traditional ways of making money. Financial literacy, ownership, and entrepreneurship, should be taught in schools and are not. That is my driving force. I do ultimately plan to dive into my love for music, movies, writing, and the arts as a whole, God willing. Tell us about the project or something that you are promoting. What is it about Also, what is the name of the last thing thing you released?

The biggest thing I am promoting right now is my 6-8 figure mentorship program. My organization and I are looking to connect and collaborate with successful entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurs looking to grow and build their brands. This event is open to all entrepreneurs looking to level up, and connect with 6, 7, and 8 figure earners and educators! PLEASE get in touch with me, and let’s get you a ticket! What has the response been to the last thing you promoted?

The last event that was promoted was our first ever company wide Women’s Event. The response was phenomenal and there have been so many breakthroughs and newly born entrepreneurs because of the event and the value given. What are some things you’ve done in the past that you are most proud of and why?

The things that I am most proud of is having my son, graduating from my dental program with a. 4.0 GPA, finding a lucrative vehicle to achieve my goals within entrepreneurship, and building a platform that people can go to for healing, education, and a safe space. Connecting with people, and helping them find and create opportunities to heal and thrive, has always been my biggest passion. What’s next for you? Are you working on any upcoming things we should be on the lookout for? Include some dates if you have them.

What message do you hope people take away from what you do?

I pray that through all of my work people see God first, and a healer directly after. I pray that people are able to take what I’ve been through, and what I’ve turned it into, and learn from it, to create their own destiny and legacy for themselves, and generations to come!
