What is your real name & stage name?
I go by the stage name K-Blu. Most people just know me as Blu, aka James Hoover, and I also have a music promotional platform called Blusmusic.
Where are you from?
I’m from Houston, TX, born and raised!
What do you do?
Many people know me for my musical talents as a singer/rapper, and I have a very versatile range of sounds and genres I can create.
How long have you been in your industry?
I’ve been writing, singing, and rapping for almost 6 years now and I’m still going strong!
What is your biggest accomplishment?
This year I expanded from being just an Artist to building my own music platform known as Blusmusic, which consists of bringing all Artists and talents together. I help Artists of all levels by giving them an opportunity to grow their brand and following by hosting big events and shows. Blusmusic is a big steppingstone for me! My biggest accomplishment so far would be the progression as an Artist over the past 5 years, leading up to now with my current release on Visionbolt Records “White tee flexin” along with Bill Grippin, and forming my own growing platform Blusmusic.
How has COVID affected you on your journey?
Covid helped me be able to focus on my music more because of the quarantine and lockdown. I was able to build greater heights in my writing and music abilities as an Artist during that time. Each day I would wake up and motivate myself to write at least two new songs to keep the consistency going for my music career.
What's your next move?
My next big move as an Artist is to see the turn out and continue to build after my first big event that I am hosting along with Sky Orchid called “Halloween Party On The Land Music Festival.” This will be the leading steppingstone for many more large-scale gigs and events to come!
Are you working on any projects?
I have an EP currently in the works, and I am still finalizing everything. I am planning to release the EP after the next two upcoming singles are out.
Where do you see yourself in 1 year ?
In one year from now, I see myself having built up my following as an Artist and for my music promotion platform Blusmusic. The purpose of my platform Blusmusic is to consistently grow and expand over time. I want to help each, and every Artist build their fan base and help them get the major support and recognition they need!

Expansion and consistency are everything to me!
