Interview with Latasha Melody
1.What is your real name & stage name?
Teresa Wallen goes by her stage name Latasha Melody.
2. Where are you from?
Latasha was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
3. What do you do?
Latasha is a music producer & clothing designer for her recent clothing line D&J Clothing 1. She had started her own label company named “ Latasha Melody” in January 2021. She wanted to have her own label company to find talented people that are passionate about their career in music.She also started her clothing line D&J Clothing 1 in July 2021. During this journey she and her fellow team members & artists helped her through it all. They are Octavia Williams, Mya Williams, Michelene Mobley & signed artists Jahmeir and D Kirk Kv.
4 .How long have you been in your industry?
Latasha had been in the music industry for about three years since 2018.
5. What is your biggest accomplishment?
The Biggest accomplishment that she had achieved was to feature D Kirk Kv on Safaree mixtape “ TEAM SAFAREE” was released in 2020. On the mixtape Safaree had put D Kirk hit smashing single “ My Type”. Her second accomplishment was having her second artist Jahmeir on Neyo Instagram story for newest artist in 2021 with his number one single “ Feelings”.
6. How has COVID affected you on your journey?
Covid has affected Latasha by doing virtual meetings with her team every week & also not being able to see her loved ones as much as she wanted to. It had taught her to remain humble and continue to think of future goals.
7. What's your next move ?
Latasha is working on D kirk Kv upcoming album “Waves” that will be released by Mid December 2021. She is also working on a Jahmeir and D kirk virtual concert coming soon, doing several interviews and more to come in 2021-2022.
8. Are you working on any projects ?
At the moment she has several projects she is working on that will be coming out this year and 2022. Just stay on the lookout for new and exciting things she has coming.
9. Where do you see yourself in 1 year ?
In one year Latasha see herself being very successful with her D&J clothing 1, being recognized more industry. Also doing plenty of features with several artists from Rap, Hip hop and more genres.
