Straight out of the Philadelphia area, 40-year-old rapper J-Yo has been a force in the music scene since he discovered his passion for rap at the age of 16. His journey began as a freestyle battle rapper at house parties, where he honed his skills until he turned 20. It was then that he started writing songs and became part of a local hip-hop group, performing successfully and opening for big artists.

"My group broke up in 2012 and I’ve been solo ever since," J-Yo shares. Despite the breakup, his solo career has been marked by determination and growth. Since 2021, J-Yo has been releasing music on all digital platforms, amassing over 100,000 streams. He aims to monetize his YouTube presence by shooting professional music videos, further expanding his reach.

J-Yo's career is built on a foundation of high goals and continuous improvement. With 24 years of experience and close to 100 recorded songs, including about 50 solo tracks, he has a deep catalog of work.
